Kids Club Attendant

Position Overview

The Kids Club Attendant is a vital member of the recreation team, responsible for managing and facilitating various recreational activities available for guests at the property. These activities include access to pools, beaches, game rooms, fitness centers, and child activity areas. The role involves assisting guests in registering and participating in recreation programs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment, and upholding the facility rules for guest well-being.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Inform guests about the recreational facilities and available activities.
• Encourage and register guests for participation in recreational events.
• Create a fun and relaxing atmosphere while enforcing safety rules.
• Monitor recreational areas and respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.
• Provide cashier services when necessary for transactions related to rentals or sales.
• Support private events and group functions involving recreational activities.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate and alert supervisors.
• Offer assistance to injured guests until medical professionals arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of recreational equipment and facilities.

Additional Responsibilities

• Report accidents, unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect confidential information.
• Greet guests warmly and anticipate service needs, including accommodating individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in person and via telephone.
• Develop positive relationships with colleagues to achieve team goals.
• Operate point of sale systems for processing payments.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, moving equipment, and navigating varied terrain.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• No supervisory experience necessary.

Required Certifications

• CPR Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• Additional recreation equipment certifications or local regulatory training as required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to stand, sit, and walk for long periods, handle equipment, and move over uneven or slippery surfaces safely. The attendant may need to lift objects up to 25 pounds independently or heavier items with assistance. They should be able to maneuver in confined spaces and perform various physical movements including bending, twisting, and reaching.
