Job description
Role overview
In this temporary payroll key user position, you will take ownership of payroll tax assessment and the delivery of payroll and time-management processes. The role focuses on translating operational, collective bargaining, and statutory changes into compliant payroll workflows.
What you will do
- Drive the rollout of new requirements within SAP HCM.
- Carry out monthly and yearly closing tasks.
- Advise on system and process changes and resolve complex questions and special situations.
- Manage specialized topics and support projects, especially those connected with digital transformation.
- Work with Compliance and Legal to make sure payroll tax activities meet legal standards and internal rules.
- Liaise with internal teams, manufacturing locations, and outside collection agencies.
- Prepare dedicated reports and statistical analyses.
- Coordinate testing and make sure the related documentation is complete.
- Assist with tax and social insurance audits from start to finish.
What you should bring
- A completed commercial apprenticeship with added qualifications, training as a tax clerk, or a dual study background in HR or tax law.
- Substantial, multi-year hands-on experience in payroll accounting.
- Preferably, familiarity with collective bargaining agreements in the metal and electrical sector.
- Strong working knowledge of reporting processes and current, well-rounded expertise in social security and payroll tax legislation.
- Advanced SAP skills and a key-user background in payroll and time management.
- Confident use of standard MS Office tools.
- Good English skills; business-fluent English would be a plus.
