Role Overview
The Key Account Specialist supports the stewardship and growth of important client partnerships by making sure services are delivered consistently against agreed service levels, contractual commitments, and internal standards. This position acts as the main day-to-day contact for assigned clients, handling operational questions, coordinating responses, and resolving service issues quickly and professionally.
Core Duties
The role involves tracking client expectations, working closely with internal teams to keep operations running smoothly, and monitoring workforce placement, attendance, and service performance to protect client satisfaction. It also includes checking timesheet accuracy, coordinating billing and invoicing with Finance and Operations, and making sure client requests move efficiently from submission to closure.
In addition, the Key Account Specialist assists with contract administration, renewals, and account documentation while looking for ways to improve service quality and develop existing accounts further. The role depends on proactive communication, consistent follow-up, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with assigned key clients.
- Serve as the first point of contact for routine operational requests and client questions.
- Confirm that service delivery aligns with contracts, SLAs, and company standards.
- Work with internal departments to close operational issues promptly.
- Track staffing deployment, attendance, and service performance across assigned accounts.
- Examine and approve timesheets for accuracy before payroll and invoicing.
- Coordinate billing and invoice-related tasks with Finance and other stakeholders.
- Follow client requests through to completion and provide timely updates.
- Support renewals, contract changes, and related account paperwork.
- Spot opportunities to raise client satisfaction and strengthen long-term relationships.
- Prepare account summaries, service performance reports, and client feedback updates.
- Keep client records accurate and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
