About the Role

Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore, part of The HEINEKEN Company, is looking for a Key Account Manager to help drive growth across key modern off-trade customers. The position works closely with the Head of Off Trade and focuses on super/hypermarkets as well as e-retail channels. The role covers the full commercial ownership of assigned accounts, including business planning, budget planning and control, contract negotiation and administration, in-store execution, promotional planning, and online conversion. The main objective is to grow sales volume, profitability, market share, and contract compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of commercial results for assigned accounts by building and delivering Joint Business Plans that align with both company goals and customer priorities.
  • Deliver growth in volume, revenue, and share against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets through disciplined planning, stakeholder coordination, and strong execution.
  • Develop and sustain productive, influential relationships with buyers and decision-makers across the customer base.
  • Review account performance regularly, use available data to identify actions, and negotiate promotional placements and trading terms.
  • Study customer needs as well as competitor strategies and market moves, then convert those insights into effective strategy, tactics, and differentiated value propositions.
  • Work with the operations team to evaluate key account performance, correct gaps, improve sales outcomes, and strengthen in-store execution.
  • Partner with Trade Marketing to design and implement effective promotions and account strategies.
  • Prepare reliable forecasts with supply chain partners and track forecast changes to support product availability and forecast accuracy.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of varied experience in sales and sales management, covering channel management, key account development, business planning and analysis, and brand building.
  • Proven success in handling senior commercial relationships.
  • Experience across both physical retail and e-commerce platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the business, industry, competitors, customers, and market practices.
  • Solid commercial judgement and negotiation capability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging business situations professionally and ethically.
  • High energy, urgency, accountability, and follow-through with a focus on quality results.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability, and business acumen.
  • Comfort with numbers and a strong bias toward action.
  • Strong listening, questioning, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
