Role overview

This role is for an accomplished Key Account Manager to support a well-established business specialising in innovative construction equipment solutions. The position suits someone driven, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a field-based environment.

Location: Townsville, Queensland
Sector: Civil Construction, EWP, and Equipment Hire
Working model: Field-based
Salary: $130,000 to $150,000 plus superannuation, car, and bonus

What you will do

  • Create and execute account strategies designed around key access hire clients.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within assigned accounts.
  • Develop additional business opportunities from existing customer accounts.
  • Provide customers with product expertise and technical support as needed.
  • Partner with internal teams to help ensure smooth deliveries and high-quality customer service.
  • Track sales results and identify areas where performance can be improved.
  • Spot rental opportunities that align with customer operational requirements.
  • Manage a territory by travelling throughout your region to meet customers.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience and long-standing exposure in the construction, agriculture, or industrial equipment sectors, with access hire background seen as a strong advantage.
  • Clear success in B2B sales.
  • Strong ability to negotiate and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Solid understanding of the construction equipment market and how it operates.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
