Role Overview

This opening is for a Junior Trader at an entry level, suited to recent graduates with a strong academic foundation in Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline. The role is intended for candidates who want to begin their careers in digital asset trading and develop a practical understanding of markets, risk, and compliance.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with senior traders to assist in spot and OTC digital asset transactions, observe market behavior, and build the core skills needed to grow in trading operations.

Trading Support and Execution

• Help senior traders carry out OTC digital asset trades for institutional and professional clients while working under close supervision.
• Monitor live positions, market exposure, and inventory across trading sessions.
• Assist in preparing competitive OTC pricing and quotes, while ensuring trade entries are precise and complete.
• Learn how to support principal risk positions and process client orders across a range of digital asset pairs.
• Take part in round-the-clock trading coverage when needed, including planned overnight and weekend shifts.

Market Research and Analysis

• Use your finance and economics knowledge to spot market patterns and contribute to market commentary.
• Review price trends, liquidity conditions, and order book activity across major digital asset pairs.
• Carry out daily research on digital asset pricing, macroeconomic developments, and relevant financial news to assist trading decisions.
• Prepare market updates and trade summaries for the senior trading team.

Risk and Compliance

• Follow all applicable UAE virtual asset regulations, including those under VARA, CMA, and other relevant authorities.
• Ensure trading activity aligns with AML/CFT rules, KYC requirements, and internal compliance procedures.
• Maintain accurate trade records, blotters, and reconciliation logs to support regulatory reporting.
• Escalate unusual market activity or possible regulatory issues to the Compliance and Risk teams.

Platform and Operational Support

• Share practical feedback with technology and product teams to help improve platform functions and trading infrastructure.
• Assist in testing and launching new trading products, pairs, and platform updates.
• Support business development through client-facing data preparation and institutional research.
• Build familiarity with order management systems and electronic trading platforms.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree, either recently completed or nearing completion, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A strong academic record that demonstrates analytical ability and quantitative thinking.
• Working knowledge of financial markets, asset classes, trading processes, and economic concepts.
• Exposure to cryptocurrency or digital assets is beneficial, though curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking figures, validating information, and maintaining accuracy.
• Good analytical ability with solid numerical skills and comfort interpreting financial data, charts, and market information.
• Self-driven and eager to keep learning and improving independently.
• Ability to stay composed in a fast-moving, time-sensitive trading environment while handling multiple tasks.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel and financial data tools; Bloomberg or trading platform exposure is an added advantage.
• Strong integrity, discretion, and a compliance-focused mindset.
