Role Overview

This position is for a hands-on Junior Sales Manager who can both generate revenue personally and lead a small sales team to consistently outperform targets. The role combines team leadership with active selling, with an expectation that the manager will contribute half of an individual quota while also building a strong, accountable sales function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of four sales executives while building a culture focused on accountability and performance.
  • Design and run proactive sales initiatives that help bring in new business.
  • Stay actively involved in selling by converting opportunities personally and setting a strong example for the team.
  • Track team output closely, using performance data to identify patterns, weak spots, and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate sales performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leaders in a clear and commercially useful way.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to improve conversion rates, strengthen local market results, and align on priorities.
  • Deliver a strong experience for prospective Hosts from first interaction through to conversion.
  • Develop team expertise so members can confidently explain Houst’s value, offering, and market knowledge.
  • Keep the team energised, resilient, motivated, and focused during every sales call.
  • Drive consistent achievement against core sales KPIs and target goals.
  • Maintain strong sales discipline and administrative accuracy so handoffs with marketing run smoothly.
  • Work with marketing to improve lead flow, feedback processes, campaign quality, and conversion outcomes.
  • Continuously improve sales workflows, scripts, reporting, and coaching methods to raise efficiency and results.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales leadership, team lead, inbound sales, inside sales, or high-volume commercial role.
  • Proven personal sales success and the credibility to lead by example.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing a small team to meet targets.
  • Strong comfort with performance data, sales metrics, and funnel analysis.
  • Ability to present insights in a clear, practical, and commercially relevant way.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and close attention to detail.
  • Comfort working across functions with regional teams, marketing, and broader commercial stakeholders.
  • Capability to combine strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Energetic, positive, self-driven, and highly accountable, with the ability to motivate others.
  • Especially relevant experience includes property, travel, hospitality, marketplace, or tech-enabled services.
  • Experience in international or multi-market sales environments is a plus.
  • Prior success in improving inbound lead conversion and sales process effectiveness is desirable.
  • A passion for delivering an excellent customer experience alongside strong commercial performance is valuable.
