Job description

About the Company

Sika is an international specialty chemicals business with a strong global presence in products and systems for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protection across construction and industry. The company operates through subsidiaries in 103 countries, manufactures in more than 400 plants, and develops technology solutions for customers worldwide. Its work supports the transition of the construction and transportation sectors toward improved environmental performance. Around 33,000 employees contributed CHF 11.20 billion in sales in 2025.

Role Overview

This entry-level opportunity is suited to graduates and career changers who are enthusiastic about communication, enablement, and knowledge management. The main focus is to shape and manage a global process community, produce engaging content, and drive communication activities within that community. Exposure to business process management and training is an added advantage and can support further growth in the role.

The position includes willingness to travel up to 40%, mainly to Sika’s office in Mannheim.

Key Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the global process community on MS SharePoint and help define how the community is structured and maintained. You will also turn process-related input from the GPO team into clear, user-friendly language.

The role involves creating and updating content such as blog posts, announcements, and process-related news, as well as preparing visually polished newsletters and other communication materials. You will also plan and deliver internal communication campaigns to support effective information flow.

In addition, you will build knowledge in Business Process Management with the aim of taking ownership of that area over time. This includes learning BPMN and process management standards, documenting process landscapes and workflows, maintaining process guidelines, coordinating cross-functional topics, and monitoring timelines.

Another major part of the role is training and enablement. You will develop knowledge in Corporate Learning with the goal of eventually owning this area, review and format training materials, ensure documentation quality and consistency, support the preparation and publishing of learning content, help harmonize process training materials, and contribute to building a Business Process Academy on the internal learning platform such as RiseUp.

Requirements

Applicants should have either first hands-on experience or a strong interest in communication or content creation. Initial experience with content management systems such as SharePoint is beneficial. An interest in business processes, training, and digital learning is also an advantage, along with comfort using digital tools and new technologies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a creative mindset with an eye for presentation. Candidates should work in a structured and organized manner, show initiative, be eager to learn, and collaborate well with different stakeholders to build alignment. Careful attention to detail and quality is important. Very good English skills, both written and spoken, are required.

Preferred but not mandatory qualifications include basic knowledge of Business Process Management or BPMN, familiarity with tools such as Canva or Miro, interest in training, e-learning, or knowledge sharing, and exposure to project coordination or similar tasks.

Additional Information

This position is described as offering a route to expand into advanced data engineering roles and to gain exposure to modern data technologies, analytics, and machine learning projects. It also mentions that data engineers are encouraged to continue training and take part in Sika’s developing global analytics platform.

Compensation is stated to be competitive and aligned with local market benchmarks as well as the scope and responsibilities of the role. Pay is determined by relevant skills, education, and/or training, and the company states that it follows fair and equitable compensation practices in line with applicable laws and regulations.
