Role overview
We are looking for a Junior Photo Editor to help choose, organize, and prepare imagery for use in digital marketing campaigns, streaming platforms, and promotional assets. This position suits someone with a sharp visual sense, an interest in film and television, and a good instinct for selecting images that resonate with audiences.
The work involves reviewing high volumes of still images and identifying the options that best match creative direction, brand expectations, and platform rules. To succeed, you’ll need strong attention to detail, solid organization, the ability to work on your own, and a consistent approach to applying established criteria.
Responsibilities
- Assess large batches of still photography and choose images suitable for promotional use.
- Follow detailed client and platform instructions so selected images meet both creative and technical standards.
- Spot visuals that communicate story, emotion, character, and audience appeal effectively.
- Catalog, label, and maintain image selections in asset management tools and shared databases.
- Keep campaign outputs consistent and ensure every deliverable matches the required standards.
- Carry out quality checks to confirm accuracy, completeness, and guideline compliance.
- Handle work independently and deliver tasks on time in a fast-moving environment.
- Make small photo adjustments when needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in photo curation or photo editing.
- Strong visual judgment and an understanding of what makes imagery effective for marketing and audience engagement.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and guidelines accurately.
- Well organized, with good time management and prioritization skills.
- Self-driven and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Able to review high volumes of assets while preserving consistency and quality.
- Exposure to entertainment, streaming, film, television, or digital marketing content is a plus.
- Experience using digital asset management systems, content management systems, or image libraries is preferred.
- Sound judgment and integrity, including the willingness to question actions that do not align with company values.
- Candidates must be based in Los Angeles, as occasional work from the West Hollywood office will be required.
- Applications are accepted digitally only; direct contact with team members is not permitted.
- This is a freelance-only engagement paid at $250 per day.
