Job description
Company overview
BreachGuard is a cybersecurity services firm focused on helping organizations uncover, understand, and fix genuine security issues across web and mobile apps, APIs, cloud systems, and compliance programs. Its work covers penetration testing, API and mobile app security testing, cloud security reviews, external attack surface assessments, compliance-readiness reviews, phishing simulations, and incident response readiness support. The environment is hands-on and technical, with an emphasis on practical security outcomes.
Role summary
The Junior Penetration Tester will support the planning and execution of security tests across web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and cloud environments while working under the direction of senior team members. This position is intended for someone who can learn quickly, contribute to client deliverables, and grow within a collaborative cybersecurity team.
What you will do
On a typical day, you will help run vulnerability assessments, verify and document security findings, prepare technical reports, and take part in remediation conversations with clients. You will also contribute to internal learning sessions, keep lab setups and tools maintained, and follow developments in vulnerabilities, exploits, and security frameworks. In addition, you will work closely with consultants, engineers, and project managers to deliver polished, client-ready assessments.
Qualifications and experience
The role calls for a strong grounding in cybersecurity basics, including common attack paths, networking fundamentals, and standard security practices. You should have practical familiarity with application security concepts and some exposure to red team methods, reverse engineering basics, and introductory malware analysis. Experience using tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, and OWASP ZAP is important, along with awareness of frameworks like OWASP and MITRE ATT&CK. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience is expected. Entry-level certifications such as eJPT, Security+, CEH, or similar are preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working collaboratively in an on-site team setting in Alexandria.
Additional information
This is a full-time position based on a hybrid working arrangement in the UAE. The job description also indicates an on-site team environment in Alexandria, so location expectations may need clarification during hiring. No salary, stipend, start date, application deadline, or number of vacancies was stated in the source.
