Role Summary
The Junior Marketing Officer will help drive marketing and communication activities that strengthen brand visibility, support business development, and improve outreach. This position combines digital marketing, content development, event coordination, proposal assistance, client communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation and rollout of marketing and communications plans.
- Develop, update, and manage content for the website, social channels, newsletters, and other promotional material.
- Write and refine LinkedIn updates, media releases, email marketing content, brochures, presentations, and internal/external corporate messages.
- Keep brand messaging consistent across all communication touchpoints.
- Oversee and refresh LinkedIn account activity.
- Track the performance of digital campaigns and compile regular reports through LinkedIn.
- Help coordinate online promotions for products, services, events, and company milestones.
- Assist with maintaining current website information.
- Support the organisation and delivery of corporate events, product launches, exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and career fairs.
- Work with suppliers, venues, media partners, and other contacts to ensure events run smoothly.
- Prepare promotional items for events and contribute to post-event reporting.
- Help prepare business proposals, company profiles, and tender submissions.
- Perform market research and competitor reviews to spot opportunities and industry trends.
- Provide marketing materials and presentation support to the Business Development and Marketing team.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, industry bodies, media contacts, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with sponsorships, partnerships, and CSR-related initiatives.
- Support publicity efforts and media-related communication.
- Maintain marketing databases, mailing lists, and communication records.
- Coordinate with designers, printers, suppliers, and external agencies as needed.
- Handle ad hoc tasks and other marketing or communication duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
A diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or a related discipline is required. One year of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role will be considered an advantage. Prior exposure to content creation, social media management, event coordination, and corporate communications is also beneficial.
