Job description

Role overview

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are seeking a Junior HR Business Partner to support leaders across the organisation and handle everyday people matters. The role acts as a trusted first contact for colleagues and managers, helping the business deliver a customer-focused culture and strong people outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with managers and colleagues to provide practical, commercially minded HR guidance that supports business goals, workforce plans and wider organisational priorities.
  • Use people data and insights to support decisions, spot patterns, and highlight risks or opportunities across employee relations, engagement, absence and attrition.
  • Coach managers and, when needed, challenge them constructively so they build confidence and skill in people management while promoting fairness, consistency and strong performance.
  • Handle employee relations matters at the appropriate level and escalate complex or higher-risk issues where necessary, ensuring advice is legally compliant.
  • Support talent, succession and workforce planning by identifying capability gaps, risk areas and development needs.
  • Assist with recurring HR cycles, engagement activities, communication forums and HR projects while improving service quality and colleague experience.

What the employer is looking for

  • Solid generalist HR experience in a busy environment, including exposure to a wide range of people issues and employee relations cases.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to shape HR support around business needs and workforce priorities.
  • Confidence in building trusted relationships and challenging managers in a constructive way to deliver fair and effective outcomes.
  • Experience interpreting data and turning people metrics into useful, practical actions.
  • Good organisational ability with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Current knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience in an airline, operational or similarly fast-moving environment would be an advantage.
  • CIPD Level 5 or CIPD Level 7 qualification would be beneficial.

Benefits

  • Yearly salary reviews.
  • A generous discretionary profit share scheme.
  • 26 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays.
  • Discounts for Jet2holidays packages and Jet2.com flights.
  • Life assurance worth 3 times salary, plus a contributory pension scheme.
  • Retail savings across travel, leisure, health and wellbeing, dining, shopping and lifestyle.
