Role overview

KONE India is in a period of strong expansion, and this opening at the Calicut/Kozhikode location offers the chance to join as a Junior Executive - Maintenance. The role is centered on service quality, equipment safety, customer coordination, and timely execution of maintenance work.

Customer relationship and service communication

  • Keep customers satisfied by delivering dependable service and maintaining clear, proactive, and accurate communication on site, including arrival timing and work completion updates.
  • Record job details correctly and in real time at the equipment level so that e-Optimum and customer notifications stay accurate.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, on-site contacts, and end users by following an ambassador-style approach.
  • Monitor equipment safety and overall performance while service work is being carried out.
  • Manage the site environment during maintenance activities and keep track of any risks identified on site.
  • Escalate high-risk situations immediately and follow the required escalation process.
  • Identify unplanned repair needs based on equipment condition, coordinate with the on-site contact, obtain approval when the work is not contract-covered, and complete the repair as required.

Service operations

  • Prioritize the safety of end users and everyone on site during service work.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow the proper maintenance and safety instructions at all times.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, callouts, and service repairs according to the schedule, time limits, quality expectations, and internal process requirements.
  • Plan the workload efficiently together with the service supervisor.
  • Escalate potential sales opportunities to the supervisor when identified.
  • Submit precise and timely work updates and reports through the required process.
  • Complete timesheets based on the work performed.
  • Manage proximity stock, including shelving, inventory handling, and stock transfers, and request spare parts through the supervisor when needed.
  • Keep service tools, the van, instruments, and related equipment secure, well maintained, and in good condition.
  • Share feedback with the PCM organization and the supervisor to help improve products, methods, and safety practices.

Leadership and people support

  • Provide regular updates to the supervisor on all important matters.
  • Stay current on lift systems and related technologies and attend the training provided.
  • May also be asked to train or coach individuals nominated by the supervisor.

Eligibility and experience

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in maintenance along with relevant educational qualifications.
