About the Role
FutureGrail is a specialist business focused on luxury watch auctions and private sales, handling collectible, rare, and significant timepieces. The company works with collectors, consignors, and buyers across the region and delivers curated auction experiences along with advisory support. This opening is for a Junior Auction Specialist who is enthusiastic about watches, comfortable in client-facing situations, and interested in developing a long-term career in auctions and luxury collectibles.
Key Responsibilities
- Help identify and secure watches for forthcoming auctions and private sale opportunities.
- Build and nurture relationships with collectors, consignors, and buyers.
- Research watch models, current market movement, pricing, provenance, and comparable auction outcomes.
- Support auction lot preparation, including descriptions, condition details, and key selling points.
- Work with internal teams on catalogue development, photography, condition reporting, and listing creation.
- Handle client queries before, throughout, and after auction events.
- Assist with private sale leads and follow up with interested buyers and sellers.
- Keep clear and accurate records of client interactions, consignments, and sales activity.
- Represent the company professionally at previews, events, and meetings with clients.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in luxury watches, collecting, auctions, or the wider luxury sector.
- Previous exposure to the luxury industry is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with solid interpersonal ability.
- Well-organized, detail-focused, and able to juggle several tasks at once.
- Comfortable engaging with clients and developing lasting professional relationships.
- Good research ability and a willingness to learn about brands, references, models, and market values.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Experience in watches, luxury retail, auctions, sales, or advisory work is advantageous but not essential.
- Positive mindset, strong commitment, and eagerness to grow in the field.
- Availability to travel at short notice.
