About THE·TEAM

THE·TEAM works at the intersection of sports, music, and entertainment, partnering with talent, brands, and properties worldwide. Its brands and properties group supports recognized brands and rights holders across the full spectrum of marketing, and the company works closely with major leagues, teams, and venues to build stronger connections between brands, properties, and fans.

With headquarters in Los Angeles and operations across 28 countries and more than 70 cities, the organization has a broad international footprint that includes New York, London, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Madrid, Mexico City, Toronto, Paris, and Sydney.

Role Overview

The New York office is hiring a sharp, ambitious Junior Art Director with a mixed-technology mindset to help shape and produce creative assets for a major spirits brand. This position calls for someone who thinks visually, brings strong conceptual thinking, and can move confidently from big-picture ideas to polished execution. Interest in AR/VR, design, art, and fashion is especially relevant, along with an appetite for joining a growing tech-oriented creative team.

The role is centered on developing evergreen and campaign content for the brand’s social and digital channels, from early concept development through final production. A strong understanding of production workflows, including prep and post-production, is important, as is the ability to communicate clearly with senior creatives, cross-functional leads, and teammates.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the visual and conceptual development of inventive social-first content.
  • Partner with designers, copywriters, creative technologists, and content creators to build multiple assets.
  • Ensure every output stays aligned with brand standards while also finding smart ways to push creative boundaries.
  • Bring instincts for what performs well in social feeds and present ideas effectively in meetings and decks.
  • Contribute to both focused, quick-turn ideas and larger, more ambitious creative concepts.
  • Work fluidly across disciplines and projects, stepping in wherever support is needed.
  • Design a broad mix of brand content that sparks conversation and engagement.
  • Stay current with trends in AI tools and emerging creative technology.
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams to keep assets on brief and on brand.
  • Join brainstorms, present concepts, and incorporate direction and feedback from creative directors and account leads.
  • Support client presentations and pitch deck development.
  • Work closely with a creative technologist to keep the creative and production process seamless.
  • Assist CD and ACD partners in creating shoot guides covering location, styling, talent, and photo/video references.
  • Monitor cultural trends and maintain a strong grasp of brand guidelines.
  • Proactively bring forward ideas even without a brief when they feel right for the brand.

Office Setup and Role Details

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Brooklyn, with a hybrid schedule of three days per week in the office.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 1 year of agency-side experience creating creative assets.
  • Ability to generate several strong concepts quickly.
  • Good judgment for what works creatively, plus the communication skills to explain your thinking.
  • Comfort collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Skill in quickly adapting to different brand visual identities and understanding what makes them effective.
  • Genuine interest in social media, Spark AR, VR, and related digital and wearable technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop and other image editing tools and apps.
  • Understanding of image requirements and display standards across social platforms.
  • Willingness to put in nonstandard hours when needed, stay ahead of issues, and communicate diplomatically while spotting emerging platforms and trends.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite on Mac, and Google Docs and Slides.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000 annually, with bonus potential if applicable. Final compensation may vary based on market conditions, location, experience, specialized training or education, level of responsibility, budget, and tenure for existing employees. The listed range is only one part of the overall compensation package.

Equal Opportunity

THE·TEAM states that employment decisions and benefits are provided without discrimination based on race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status under applicable law.
