Janitorial Specialist

IDEXX is hiring an energetic janitorial and office cleaning professional to join its facilities team in Westbrook, Maine. Schedule

This is a weekday day-shift role with a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine cleaning work such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in assigned spaces.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, including floors, windows, and furniture.
• Keep restrooms tidy and sanitary by restocking supplies and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Handle trash and recycling disposal in line with company procedures.
• Escalate maintenance concerns and potential safety risks to the right team members.
• Work in accordance with health and safety rules to maintain a secure environment.
• Support additional deep-cleaning or special cleaning assignments when needed.

What You Need

Prior janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus, but it is not required. The company is looking for someone who can work independently as well as contribute effectively to a team, and who brings a positive, proactive attitude.

Compensation and Benefits

The target pay for this role is $18.50 per hour. Additional rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a performance-based merit increase each year.
