Role Overview
A leading Texas law practice is looking to add an experienced janitor to its office support team in San Antonio. The right candidate will bring a solid background in maintaining professional office spaces and a dependable work history.
Experience Profile
The firm is specifically seeking someone with at least 5 years of consistent janitorial experience in a professional office environment.
Key Duties
- Keep floors clean through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
- Collect waste and remove trash from the premises.
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning, stocking, and servicing them as needed.
- Clean and shine furniture and fixtures.
- Wash windows, mirrors, and glass partitions with appropriate cleaning tools and solutions.
- Remove dust from furniture, walls, machinery, and equipment.
- Shampoo carpets or clean them with steam methods when required.
- Strip, seal, finish, and buff floors.
- Use cleaning chemicals and powered equipment according to safety procedures to avoid damage.
- Help protect the building by locking doors after business hours and checking that appliances are used safely.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks when needed.
- Report repair needs, whether minor or major, to management.
- Request cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Arrange and clear tables and chairs for meetings and facility setups.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Ability to clear a background check successfully.
