- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Support opening and closing tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tables.

Experience and Communication
Applicants should have prior experience working as a janitor or busser. The role requires the ability to communicate in English and understand the policies and procedures used to clean and sanitize a restaurant.
Decision-Making and Instructions
The position requires practical judgment, the ability to follow simple one- or two-step directions, and comfort working in situations that are usually routine and predictable.
Training and Compliance
New team members must attend orientation, agree to the restaurant’s training policies, and complete the training program before working unsupervised. Any other required training must also be completed in line with local and state rules, including food service and/or alcohol service certifications where applicable.
Physical Requirements
This role involves frequent standing and walking, using hands and fingers to handle or move objects, and speaking or hearing as needed. Reaching with the arms is also required. The job may require occasionally lifting or moving up to 15 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment
The work setting regularly includes exposure to kitchen fumes or airborne particles. There may also be occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions in the dish area or walk-in cooler. Cleaning tasks may involve toxic or caustic chemicals. In some locations, exposure to cigarette or cigar smoke may also occur because of guest smoking sections.
