Job description
Overview
This contract opportunity is for a mid to senior-level IT Project Manager to support a Dynamics 365 program in a hybrid setup, with three onsite days each week. The assignment is expected to run through December 2026, and there is a strong possibility of continuation into 2027 for the right person.
The role calls for someone who can bring structure to complex technology work, coordinate across multiple teams and systems, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. The environment is moving toward Agile delivery, so experience guiding teams through that shift will be important.
Key role details
The selected candidate will work with internal IT specialists and business partners on several related initiatives at once. The work will likely involve numerous smaller projects happening in parallel, with attention to system dependencies, stakeholder alignment, and delivery execution.
Responsibilities
- Drive Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, ceremonies, and execution support, especially for teams that are still developing comfort with Agile methods.
- Oversee complex initiatives that span multiple applications, interconnected systems, and upstream/downstream integrations.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans covering milestones, dependencies, timelines, and implementation steps.
- Break down problem statements into actionable work, identify cross-team dependencies, and coordinate sequencing across systems and functions.
- Work closely with business analysts, technical contributors, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Use release management and DevOps knowledge to help coordinate delivery across participating teams.
- Guide teams through discovery, planning, and execution phases while keeping work aligned to business objectives.
- Support change management preparation and go-live execution to help ensure successful adoption.
- Manage workflow, documentation, and product lifecycle activities using Azure DevOps or comparable tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of project management experience.
- Strong background in Agile work management.
- Experience working in Dynamics 365 environments and handling diverse stakeholder groups.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for backlog tracking, sprint planning, and traceability.
- Self-directed, proactive, and highly dependable in delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business audiences.
- Must be able to work onsite in a hybrid format with three days per week in the office.
- Candidates must currently be based in Minnesota.
- Submissions from third-party vendors will not be accepted.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- PMP certification or an equivalent credential.
- Background in medical device, healthcare, or life sciences settings, or in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations environments.
Work schedule and contract information
This is a contract position with an anticipated term from July through December 2026, with a strong chance of extension into 2027.
Additional information
This opportunity is intended for candidates who can start on an immediate basis. Because the role is hybrid and time-sensitive, applicants outside Minnesota will not be considered.
The company is engaged directly with the client, so applications routed through third-party vendors are not eligible for review.
The assignment centers on bringing structure to complex work, aligning technical delivery with business priorities, and helping cross-functional teams achieve successful outcomes.
