IT Network & Security Senior Specialist

About the Role

This position is focused on keeping the organization’s IT network reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs. The role covers the planning, optimization, protection, and ongoing improvement of network infrastructure, systems, and data, with an emphasis on proactive security and uninterrupted operations from the HQ office in Riyadh.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee the company’s IT network operations and apply strong security controls to protect the confidentiality and integrity of network data.
• Lead the planning, rollout, and ongoing upkeep of network infrastructure so it remains scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.
• Perform capacity planning to anticipate future demand and recommend solutions that can support business growth.
• Evaluate network performance and propose improvements based on best practices and the company’s operational requirements.
• Work with internal teams to ensure network solutions are integrated smoothly into the wider IT environment.
• Provide prompt, professional technical support to end users and resolve network-related concerns effectively.
• Stay current on evolving network administration trends and technologies, adopting relevant improvements where beneficial.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of team policies, systems, and procedures so regulatory and procedural requirements are met while maintaining cost-effective service delivery.
• Help develop and execute policies, procedures, and strategic plans, including a clear security incident response approach to reduce risk and strengthen resilience.
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of network settings, workflows, and troubleshooting steps in line with internal and industry documentation standards.
• Monitor network performance, detect issues early, and resolve problems quickly to reduce downtime and support business continuity.
• Investigate network faults thoroughly, coordinate with vendors when needed, and ensure effective resolution.
• Support data recovery activities by retrieving, restoring, and validating critical information when required.
• Apply security controls across the network, including audits, assessments, and configuration maintenance to support policy compliance.
• Take part in vulnerability reviews, risk assessments, and firewall setup, while helping shape mitigation measures.
• Monitor for cyber threats and security incidents, and respond appropriately when issues arise.
• Conduct regular security assessments and recommend practical remediation actions for identified vulnerabilities.
• Design and support secure architecture that protects organizational assets.
• Ensure compliance with NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC-2) and any other applicable regulations.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and breaches, coordinating response efforts with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with IT and other departments to embed security best practices across systems and processes.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in IT network and security roles.
• Strong practical background in network and security operations.
• Very good command of English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or similar credentials are an advantage.

Additional Information

Location: HQ Office, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is a full-time, on-site role.

Focus areas include network performance, network infrastructure, firewalls, policy implementation, network security, network security testing, network security implementation, network troubleshooting, computer network operations, and network monitoring tools.
