About the role

Minmed Group Pte Ltd is looking for an IT Helpdesk Support professional to keep day-to-day technology operations running smoothly across the company. The position focuses on hands-on hardware support, basic network troubleshooting, user assistance, and coordination with external vendors to maintain reliable IT services for staff and business locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support end-user and office hardware such as laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, phones, CCTV units, routers, modems, and access points.
  • Carry out Windows setup work, including formatting devices, reinstalling operating systems, loading drivers, installing software, and preparing machines for new or existing employees.
  • Identify and resolve hardware faults, device breakdowns, and connectivity problems.
  • Work with vendors on repair jobs, replacements, warranty claims, and servicing requests.
  • Handle first-line troubleshooting for Wi-Fi, LAN, router, modem, and access point issues.
  • Support the setup of office and clinic networks so users have stable internet access.
  • Monitor network equipment and escalate unresolved issues to vendors or senior IT staff when needed.
  • Set up printers, track toner usage, and fix printing or scanning problems.
  • Keep IT asset records current, including assignment details and equipment lifecycle tracking.
  • Provide prompt first-level support for internal users facing hardware, software, email, or network issues.
  • Prepare IT equipment for new joiners and collect and verify assets during employee exit processes.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers for equipment purchases, repairs, replacements, installations, and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

  • Diploma or an equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Previous exposure to IT support, especially in hardware administration and helpdesk work, is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Windows installation, formatting, troubleshooting, and software deployment.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting for Wi-Fi, LAN, routers, modems, and access points.
  • Comfort with printers, CCTV systems, laptops, mobile devices, and general office IT equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and willingness to provide practical, hands-on support.
  • Well-organized, dependable, and able to manage follow-up tasks independently.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management and lifecycle tracking practices is preferred.
