About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve service desk requests related to software and hardware, working with general oversight.
- Deliver remote assistance for desktop systems and connected peripherals in a networked setup.
- Route unresolved matters to the appropriate team in line with service level targets.
- Check back with users to confirm that incidents have been handled satisfactorily.
- Record actions taken, then update and close tickets with complete notes.
- Follow organizational rules, standards, and internal procedures in all support activities.
- Support the installation and removal of applications, computers, and peripherals.
- Carry out assigned tasks independently and collaborate with colleagues when required.
- Work in a way that minimizes disruption to business operations.
- Spot issues and correct them with direction from supervisors when needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems or a closely related discipline is preferred.
- A+ certification or an equivalent level of hands-on technical experience is preferred.
- At least 3 years of desktop support experience in a Microsoft-based environment.
- Working knowledge of desktop hardware.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft operating systems.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of computer networking principles.
