STAFFXPERT LLC is hiring for a remote IT Administrator / Application Support role on behalf of a client in the United States. The position focuses on keeping a mission-critical enterprise investment accounting platform running smoothly, handling production issues, and partnering with business and technical teams to maintain dependable application performance.
What you'll do
- Act as Level 2 and Level 3 support for production incidents and end-user service requests.
- Track application behavior, system availability, and scheduled batch jobs.
- Analyze the underlying cause of issues and drive fast, effective fixes.
- Support investment accounting workflows by checking holdings, transactions, and valuations.
- Help with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processing cycles.
- Troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations as well as data interface problems.
- Look into reconciliation breaks and data-quality mismatches, then work toward resolution.
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to protect data accuracy and platform reliability.
- Coordinate with external vendors on defects, releases, and product improvements.
- Assist with application upgrades, testing, deployment activities, and change control.
- Prepare and maintain technical, operational, and support documentation.
- Operate within governance, audit, and operational compliance expectations.
Required background
- A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years working in application support, production support, or IT administration.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise business or financial software.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting, incident handling, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience working with system integrations and data interfaces.
- Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfort working in a high-pressure, fast-moving production support environment.
Preferred experience
- Background supporting investment accounting or financial services applications.
- Understanding of investment accounting, portfolio management, or financial operations.
- Exposure to SQL, data validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Knowledge of ERP/EPM integrations and enterprise data management.
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management, and release management practices.
