Role Overview
The Investment Analyst will support the firm’s investment management work by partnering closely with the Chief Investment Officer and the broader investment team. The position involves trade execution, investment research, portfolio monitoring, process improvement, and ensuring client portfolios meet the firm’s standards. This is a hands-on role with exposure to many parts of portfolio management, not just trading, and it is intended to provide a strong foundation for a long-term career in investment management.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out trades in equities, ETFs, mutual funds, and fixed income securities.
- Track portfolios for allocation drift, cash levels, tax-related opportunities, and model updates.
- Support portfolio rebalancing and implementation activities.
- Make sure trading activity aligns with investment guidelines and regulatory rules.
- Research managers, ETFs, mutual funds, and individual securities.
- Study market conditions, economic developments, and portfolio risk factors.
- Assist with due diligence for new investment opportunities.
- Help prepare materials for investment committee discussions and portfolio recommendations.
- Build performance, attribution, allocation, and risk reporting.
- Create or improve analytical tools and reporting methods.
- Look for ways to strengthen portfolio management workflows and processes.
- Work with advisors on investment-related questions and client support needs.
- Prepare client meeting materials and portfolio analysis documents.
- Help explain portfolio changes and investment decisions to internal stakeholders.
- Respond quickly and professionally to investment-related inquiries.
- Support improvements to the systems and processes that power the investment platform.
- Use technology and AI to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
- Document best practices and share ideas that enhance the client experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a closely related subject.

- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using portfolio management software.
