About the role
BMW Group is looking for an intern to join a data-focused financial services team in Munich. The team develops data-based solutions that turn complex financial information into useful business insight and support the future of mobility financing. From the first day, you will be included as part of the team, encouraged to contribute ideas, and given room to demonstrate your abilities in a practical setting.
What you will do
- Assist in building and improving automated ETL and ELT workflows that combine data from multiple customer sources.
- Help develop interactive dashboards and visual reports in tools such as Tableau or Quicksight to track key performance indicators and customer trends.
- Support the introduction of data-quality checks that improve the accuracy, consistency, and protection of financial data.
- Work with business teams to turn complex needs into technical data structures and automated reporting solutions.
What we are looking for
- Currently studying computer science, data science, information systems, business informatics, or a similar subject.
- Solid basic knowledge of SQL and database administration across relational and non-relational systems.
- Strong hands-on ability in Python, especially with Pandas and PySpark.
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms like Tableau or Quicksight.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
- Comfortable using both German and English.
