Job description
Role Overview
This is an hourly contract opportunity for an experienced insurance professional who can help create and validate structured training content for automation-focused systems. The work is remote and flexible, and it centers on turning real insurance operations into clear, publication-ready workflow documentation.
The assignment spans several insurance functions, including underwriting, claims, compliance, actuarial work, and broader operations. The compensation noted for this role is $120 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Map full insurance processes into structured documentation, including underwriting journeys, claims handling steps, and policy servicing workflows.
- Check and improve AI-generated workflow write-ups to ensure the information is technically sound, regulatorily aligned, and complete from a domain perspective.
- Create detailed decision-tree scenarios that reflect how real underwriting decisions, coverage calls, and compliance escalations are handled in practice.
- Compare workflow outputs with relevant industry rules, carrier procedures, and state or federal regulatory requirements.
- Complete individual transcript-based assignments independently on a flexible schedule with little coordination required.
Core Requirements
- Strong expertise in at least one insurance specialization such as commercial or personal lines underwriting, claims handling, SIU/fraud, actuarial pricing, regulatory compliance, policy administration, or producer/distribution management.
- Ability to explain complex insurance processes in a clear, structured, and detailed written format.
- Familiarity with professional credentials relevant to the insurance field, such as CPCU, AU, AIC, SCLA, CFE, FCAS, or similar; certified candidates are preferred.
- Practical understanding of P&C insurance regulatory expectations for both personal and commercial lines.
- Consistent accuracy when reviewing technical materials against defined workflow standards.
Additional Strengths
- Background in underwriting leadership, SIU oversight, or compliance program management is especially valuable.
- Experience across more than one insurance area, such as underwriting and policy administration, can broaden the scope of contribution.
- Work in broker-facing or submissions roles is useful for transcript tasks that require detailed knowledge of carrier and market workflows.
