About the Company

AL TAIF is a key maintenance, repair and overhaul partner in the UAE, providing lifecycle support for land platforms, heavy utility vehicles and ground support equipment used by the UAE Armed Forces. Role Overview

This position is for an Instructor I focused on logistics and general subjects. The role involves delivering training, supporting course development, evaluating student progress, and maintaining high standards across classroom and workshop learning for the UAE Army.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow and enforce all safety and security policies, rules and directives.
  • Support the Chief Instructor in planning, developing and delivering courses.
  • Provide input to the Chief Instructor on learner progress and overall performance.
  • Conduct classroom and workshop sessions covering logistics and general subjects for the UAE Army.
  • Build, review and improve courses in line with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT).
  • Prepare and deliver operator courses and technical assessments for GMC technicians.
  • Use coaching and remedial teaching techniques where needed to help improve pass rates and test outcomes.
  • Act as both a lead and backup instructor for classroom and workshop sessions.
  • Manage time effectively across all training-related duties.
  • Track, safeguard and maintain equipment, supplies and computers.
  • Create and continuously update teaching materials such as lesson plans, handouts and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, demonstrations and other learning programmes as assigned to stay current with instructional methods and training technology.
  • Assist other faculty members as needed to help them carry out their responsibilities.
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of company information.
  • Carry out additional duties assigned by the Chief Instructor or the Director, Technical Training School.

Experience and Education

  • A relevant degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Graduation from a recognised school or military training programme in combat vehicles is preferred.
  • At least four years of experience teaching logistics or general subjects is required.
  • Two years of military experience is considered an advantage.
  • Prior use of the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) is an advantage.
  • Strong writing ability, including the preparation of studies, briefings or doctrinal material, is an advantage.
  • The ability to analyse requirements and develop performance-based instruction and lesson plans is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required.
  • The candidate must already have, or be able to obtain, a valid UAE driver’s licence.

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
