Job description
Role Overview
NetApp is operating in a market that is changing rapidly, with AI adoption accelerating and data volumes growing quickly. In this environment, organizations are reassessing how they modernize, protect, and extract value from their infrastructure. NetApp positions itself as a strong partner for this transformation, backed by an enterprise-focused platform and a clear approach to growth.
As an Inside Sales Representative focused on the Netherlands, you will be responsible for generating new business and expanding existing accounts. The role involves a mix of inbound and outbound prospecting, using multiple channels to connect with prospects and customers, identify business challenges, and present NetApp’s hybrid cloud and data offerings as the right solution.
You will work closely with channel partners, marketing teams, and technical experts to develop and manage your own sales pipeline, create opportunities, and help drive revenue in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Build demand and support cross-sell growth by reaching out to customers through calls, email, and digital channels.
- Handle both inbound and outbound prospecting activities to create qualified opportunities and move them through the funnel.
- Assess customer pain points and explain NetApp’s value across multiple business use cases.
- Coordinate with channel partners to prepare and deliver proposals.
- Develop new business through proactive outreach such as cold calling, campaign follow-up, and social selling.
- Assist with marketing programs including events, webinars, and lead-generation activities.
- Keep CRM data current by tracking pipeline activity, forecasting, and sales engagement accurately.
- Partner with sales colleagues, technical specialists, and channel teams to provide a smooth customer journey.
Required Background
- 18 to 24 months of experience in inside sales or a similar role, with exposure to owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure; internships are also considered.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence effectively.
- Practical experience with prospecting and sales tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, and CRM systems.
- Interest in cloud, storage, or broader IT solutions, along with a willingness to learn the domain.
- Ability to stay organized, work independently, and juggle several priorities at once.
- Fluency in English and Dutch, plus comfort working in a multinational environment.
Preferred Exposure
- Prior B2B sales experience.
- Background in IT or cloud-related products and services.
- Familiarity with partner channels such as resellers, distributors, and system integrators.
