Role overview
This full-time permanent driving position is based in Connacht, Galway, and involves 39 hours of work per week. The salary is €29,800 per year, paid monthly.
What you will do
In this role, you will support customers by visiting their sites, collecting hazardous waste, and ensuring it is disposed of correctly. The work is hands-on and customer-facing, with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.
- Travel between customer locations to service hazardous waste containers and materials, including sharps bins, poisons, dental waste, and similar waste streams.
- Keep the assigned vehicle in safe working condition and follow road-safety guidance at all times.
- Represent the business professionally and deliver a high standard of service to every customer.
Driver requirements
- A full Irish driving licence held for at least two years, with no more than six penalty points.
- Comfort with manual work, including loading and unloading bins and units.
- An ADR certificate is welcome, but it is not mandatory.
- Strong communication and customer service ability.
- Willingness to adapt working patterns when business needs change.
- A self-starter mindset with a positive, proactive approach.
- Depending on the position, you may need to complete a DBS check.
