Independent Contractor – Graphic Designer

Role Overview

Himalayan Pet Supply is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to work as an independent contractor under a 1099 arrangement. This is a remote role suited to a creative professional who enjoys moving between multiple assignments, works well in a fast-moving environment, and has a strong background in brand, packaging, and marketing design.

Weekly hours: About 20–30 hours per week

Compensation: $90 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Create packaging, labels, brochures, flyers, advertisements, trade show assets, signage, promotional materials, and other branded collateral.
• Develop digital creative for websites, email campaigns, and social media channels.
• Take ideas from early sketches through to finished production-ready artwork.
• Build and refresh logos, brand systems, and marketing visuals.
• Design product displays, retail merchandising concepts, and trade show graphics.
• Work closely with marketing, sales, and other internal teams to turn concepts into finished creative work.
• Prepare files for production and coordinate directly with print and manufacturing vendors.
• Check and approve proofs to maintain brand standards and quality.
• Capture product, event, and company photos for marketing use.
• Keep up with current design trends and look for ways to strengthen the brand.
• Handle several projects at once while meeting deadlines and keeping a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in branding, packaging, print, and digital design.
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, plus Microsoft Office.
• Strong skills in visual design, typography, and layout.
• Clear communication and strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent organization and project management ability.
• Comfort working independently while balancing multiple priorities.
• Experience with printers, packaging vendors, or consumer product brands is a plus.
• Product photography or photo editing experience is preferred.
