Role Summary
The In-Room Dining Executive will manage the full in-room dining experience, making sure meals and beverages are delivered to guest rooms accurately, promptly, and with courtesy. The role includes receiving and confirming orders, coordinating closely with kitchen and service teams, checking food presentation, addressing guest requests, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting menu or promotion updates. The position is full-time and based on-site in Coimbatore.
Key Duties
- Handle room service orders from guests and confirm details clearly before dispatch.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
- Monitor food and beverage presentation so it meets hotel standards.
- Respond quickly and professionally to guest concerns, special requests, and service issues.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety practices throughout the dining operation.
- Track and manage in-room dining supplies and inventory.
- Update menus and promotions when required.
- Support accurate billing and order recording.
- Train, guide, and assist team members as needed.
- Contribute to an overall positive guest experience.
Requirements
- Background in food and beverage service or in-room dining within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to speak clearly, politely, and professionally in person and by phone.
- Working knowledge of food hygiene, safety practices, and standard hotel operating procedures.
- Ability to manage several orders at once while staying accurate and detail-oriented under time pressure.
- Familiarity with billing workflows, order-entry systems, and POS tools.
- Good organizational and problem-solving ability to handle guest issues efficiently.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays based on hotel needs.
- Experience in a supervisory or lead capacity is beneficial.
- Diploma or formal training in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of Tamil is an added advantage.
