RG Stone Urology & Laparoscopy Hospital is looking for a Staff Nurse for the ICU/Nursing department in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The role reports to the Intensivist or Anesthetist and is focused on providing attentive, safe, and clinically sound care to critically ill patients.

Primary responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs closely and respond with timely clinical action when needed.
- Create, carry out, and review care plans based on each patient’s condition and needs.
- Recognize possible complications early, including infection, bleeding, or breathing-related issues, and act to prevent further decline.
- Assess pain levels and administer prescribed pain relief as directed.
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety practices to reduce the spread of infection and protect patient well-being.
- Offer reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families during high-stress situations.
- Record all treatments, patient responses, and condition changes accurately and in detail.
- Track medicine and consumable stocks, ensuring required supplies remain available in adequate quantity.
- Verify that biomedical equipment is working properly and keep the relevant checklists updated.
- Maintain readiness and proper upkeep of the crash cart trolley.
- Prepare ICU patients for discharge once stable and provide discharge guidance.
- Document recovery progress, interventions, and other important observations throughout the care process.
- Take part in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and training sessions.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in ICU or HDU.
- Ability to handle emergency medical equipment with confidence.
- Strong attention to detail in patient monitoring and documentation.
- Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and critical care routines.

This role follows a structured schedule and requires adherence to the hospital’s dress code and identification requirements. The nurse is expected to support critically ill patients, coordinate with senior clinical staff, and contribute to safe, efficient ICU operations.
