Role overview
Join the onsite hygiene function at Forza Foods in Normanton as a Hygiene Operative. This is a permanent, site-based position within a high-care chilled meat processing and packing environment that works with poultry, pork, and beef.
Working pattern and location
- Shift pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off
- Working hours: rotating morning and afternoon shifts between 6:30am and 10:30pm
- Location: Forza, Normanton, England, United Kingdom
- Contract: Permanent
Key duties
You will help keep machinery, equipment, and work areas cleaned to the standards set by the company and support production readiness each day. The role also includes completing hygiene paperwork, raising faults, and reporting health and safety concerns.
- Clean machinery and equipment to the required standards and in line with company training
- Plan your time effectively so all cleaning stages are finished within the required window
- Prepare the work area for production, including placing trays, liners, bins, tables, foot stands, and tray holders in the correct positions
- Complete cleaning task sheets and any other documents requested
- Report equipment or machinery defects
- Clean office spaces and amenity areas
- Escalate any health and safety concerns to the hygiene management team
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the manager
Requirements
- Previous chemical handling training and hands-on experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Good time management skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Basic IT literacy
- Ability to work well as part of a team
