Role overview
Proper Cornish is hiring an additional Production Hygiene Operative to join its day-shift team in Bodmin. This is a Monday to Friday position, with working hours from 09:00 to 17:30.
The starting pay is £13.55 per hour. An increased rate of £16.94 per hour applies for hours worked between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am, as well as any time beyond 37.5 hours per week.
The role is focused on keeping food production spaces and large bakery machinery spotless, safe, and aligned with quality management standards and good manufacturing practice.
What the job involves
- Maintaining a high level of hygiene across production areas to support a clean and safe workplace.
- Carrying out thorough cleaning and sanitising of surfaces and equipment using the correct chemicals and approved methods.
- Taking apart large industrial bakery equipment for deep cleaning and reassembling it afterwards.
- Completing written records that confirm hygiene procedures have been followed and required standards have been met.
- After training, using different machines and equipment to support cleaning operations more efficiently.
Training and development
Full training will be provided from the outset, along with further learning and development opportunities. The business also has a strong record of developing people internally and supports career progression.
After the probation period, you will also have earned a Food Safety Level 2 certificate and an H&S Level 2 certificate.
