Role overview
This full-time, non-management position is based in Doha, Qatar, within the Food and Beverage & Culinary function. The role focuses on supporting kitchen operations, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and helping the team deliver well-presented meals and a smooth guest experience.
Key duties
You will coordinate kitchen activity, support cooks and other team members, and help ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard. The role also involves monitoring stock, assisting with special meal requests, and keeping food safety records up to date.
- Oversee and help organize the work of cooks and kitchen staff.
- Guide how dishes are plated, garnished, and displayed.
- Check portion sizes, arrangement, and presentation before service.
- Track the amount of food prepared and communicate menu specials or unavailable items to service staff.
- Assist with special meals and substitutions when needed.
- Support cooks and kitchen staff with day-to-day tasks and required items.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and food inventory levels.
- Maintain kitchen logs connected to food safety and product tracking.
- Inspect food quality and escalate any product that does not meet standards.
People management and compliance
The position also includes helping supervisors and managers with team-related duties such as hiring support, onboarding, training, scheduling, evaluations, coaching, counseling, and discipline. You are expected to follow company policies, safety and security procedures, and complete required safety training and certifications.

- Report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.

Working conditions
The job may require long periods of standing, sitting, or walking, along with bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. You may also be asked to perform additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have technical, trade, or vocational school education, along with 4 to 6 years of related work experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory role. No license or certification is required.
