Role overview

This HR Specialist position supports people-focused projects, governance, risk, and change activities within the HR function. The role is based in Blackrock, Dublin, with a hybrid working arrangement and may involve occasional travel to other company sites.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and delivering important HR projects, making sure project goals are achieved.
  • Help the HR Strategy & Change Lead put in place a project and governance structure for major people-related matters.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with both internal teams and external partners to support project success and good governance.
  • Support the HR team in applying the established risk framework and contribute to improving the HR risk profile through a more risk-aware approach to people activities.
  • Contribute to HR change and governance work, including support for onboarding and renewing third-party HR contracts.
  • Partner with stakeholders to review people data, spot patterns and issues, and identify areas where processes can be improved.
  • Provide general administrative assistance across a variety of HR project topics.
  • Help strengthen stakeholder awareness and engagement so that relevant people projects are delivered effectively.
  • Work with the wider HR team to assess current practices and policies through the policy governance framework.
  • Take part in or arrange learning and development activities that build risk awareness and knowledge within HR.

Candidate profile

  • A qualification in HR, project management, or risk is desirable.
  • Experience supporting larger projects or initiatives is important.
  • Previous exposure to HR work is required.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation is needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to build relationships, are essential.
  • You should be comfortable handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • The role calls for someone who can influence stakeholders and manage different interests effectively.
  • A collaborative approach and enjoyment of cross-functional teamwork are important.
  • Interest in understanding the business and its goals, with an aim to support better outcomes for customers and employees, is valued.
