Role Summary
The Human Resources Operations Specialist supports the HR operations function across HRIS, benefits, and payroll activities. The role is centered on maintaining accurate HR data in internal systems, coordinating compliance and regulatory reporting, assisting with HR system improvements, and providing first-level troubleshooting support. It also includes administrative support for HR processes and routine reporting. This position reports to the Manager of HRIS.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily HR operations activities while ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulations.
- Create routine reports and prepare ad hoc HR reporting as needed.
- Compile and coordinate data for regulatory filings such as EEO-1, VETS-4212, AAP, and related submissions.
- Provide first-line assistance for general HR system questions and basic troubleshooting.
- Work with the HRIS Analyst on system upgrades, enhancements, and user training.
- Help maintain position control in partnership with Finance.
- Support HR initiatives and projects by working with key stakeholders.
- Perform administrative HRIS tasks, including data maintenance, structure updates, and audit support.
- Respond to employee inquiries through the HR Service Center support process.
- Process job changes in coordination with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners.
- Track certifications and employee documentation.
Education and Experience
Applicants should hold an associate degree in a related area, or have an equivalent mix of relevant education and experience. A minimum of 2 years of human resources experience is required. Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday is preferred.
