About the role
The North America team is seeking an early-career People Operations Generalist who can support a wide range of HR functions. This position offers hands-on exposure to the full employee journey, including hiring, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and retail HR support.
You will help serve retail locations, the corporate function, and leadership by keeping HR processes running smoothly and contributing to a strong employee experience as the business expands.
Recruitment and talent acquisition
- Run end-to-end hiring for both retail and corporate roles.
- Arrange interviews and keep candidates informed throughout the process.
- Publish job ads and keep them current across multiple channels.
- Carry out initial candidate screening and reference verification.
- Work closely with hiring managers during each stage of recruitment.
- Maintain applicant tracking records and recruitment reports.
Onboarding and employee experience
- Lead new hire onboarding and orientation activities.
- Coordinate onboarding paperwork, background checks, and system access.
- Make sure employee records are accurate, complete, and compliant.
- Assist with engagement efforts and culture-building programs.
- Act as a first contact for employee questions and requests.
HR operations and administration
- Keep employee files and HRIS data updated.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee data changes.
- Support benefits administration and enrollment activities.
- Track leave requests, accommodations, and related programs.
- Prepare HR reports, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Handle employment verification requests and employee letters.
Retail HR support
- Partner with store managers on staffing, schedules, attendance, and performance concerns.
- Help with corrective actions, investigations, and employee relations matters.
- Support adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Monitor staffing needs and assist with workforce planning.
- Contribute to seasonal hiring plans and new store openings.
Compliance and process improvement
- Ensure company policies and employment regulations are followed.
- Help update HR policies, procedures, and employee communications.
- Support training programs and manager development initiatives.
- Look for ways to improve HR workflows and the employee experience.
Qualifications
- Preferred background of 1 to 3 years in human resources.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience supporting hourly retail employees is an advantage.
- Strong organization and close attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices is preferred.
