About the Role

This permanent Human Resources Business Partner position is based in Letterkenny GDC, County Donegal, Ireland, with a hybrid arrangement requiring 3 to 4 days per week in the TCS office. The role sits within a purpose-led transformation environment where the HR function helps shape business performance, support employees and managers, and contribute to meaningful change across the organisation.

The position focuses on partnering with business and HR teams to deliver practical people solutions, strengthen culture, and support retention, engagement, and organisational effectiveness across a multi-client business and IT services setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with global and local HR and business stakeholders to deliver organisational initiatives.
  • Strengthen the quality, value, and effectiveness of HR services through continuous improvement ideas and process ownership.
  • Support programmes and activities aimed at retaining and engaging skilled talent.
  • Build partnerships across HR to provide value-added support aligned with company objectives.
  • Implement and support HR processes and policies, talent management, performance management, employee relations, change management, employee networks, and corporate sustainability activities.
  • Hold weekly or biweekly meetings with business units.
  • Offer proactive guidance, coaching, and HR advice to leaders, managers, and employees.
  • Review people data and trends, then turn findings into recommendations, solutions, and policy inputs for business and functional leaders.
  • Handle complex employee relations matters, including objective investigations, grievances, and disciplinary cases.
  • Advise on performance issues, coaching, counselling, career growth, probation, and absence management.
  • Update and improve HR policies and procedures to match organisational needs, legal changes, and best practice.
  • Support restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should be confident working independently in a fast-paced, flexible global environment and should bring strong HR business partnering and employee relations capability. The role calls for sound judgement, strong influencing ability, and the confidence to use data to shape recommendations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and convert insights into action.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a global and flexible setting.
  • Demonstrated success in building trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation and with varied client groups.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment regulations.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • A results-focused, solutions-oriented approach.
