Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our team at Al-Qadsiah Club in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the HSE Lead or Operations Director, this role is crucial for ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. The goal is to maintain a secure and compliant work environment, minimizing risks to personnel, assets, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and enforcement of all site-specific HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and thorough risk assessments to pinpoint potential hazards.
• Ensure adherence to both local regulatory requirements and the company's internal HSE standards.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, producing comprehensive reports.
• Manage the timely reporting and follow-up of all corrective and preventive actions identified.
• Deliver essential safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing HSE training programs for all employees.
• Support the planning and execution of emergency preparedness and response activities, including drills.
• Monitor environmental practices, focusing on effective waste management and pollution control measures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, records, and performance reports.
• Actively promote a robust safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the entire site.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline.
• A certification in Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA, is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in HSE roles, with a preference for experience in industrial or field operations.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of local HSE regulations and relevant international standards.
• Exhibit excellent observation, reporting, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Be capable of responding effectively and decisively during emergency situations.
