Role overview
This contract opportunity is with a major financial organization in Toronto and is suited to an HR professional who can support compensation and benefits work, pension-related activities, or broader HR operations. The assignment emphasizes cross-functional coordination, improving processes, and using data to help drive delivery and business outcomes.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is CAD 72.46 to CAD 86.95 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to planning, coordination, and execution of projects so initiatives are delivered on schedule.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to collect, clarify, and assess requirements.
- Build and update documentation, reports, and tracking tools to follow project status and progress.
- Carry out research and data review to spot opportunities for better processes and practical solutions.
- Help arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and track action items after discussions.
- Keep communication flowing between stakeholders so expectations stay aligned and information remains clear.
- Handle member follow-up, respond to questions, and help resolve issues connected to benefits or pension programs.
- Provide support for compliance checks and audit-related tasks when needed.
- Take part in shadowing and onboarding activities to support a smooth transition into the role.
- Maintain accurate records and share regular updates on deliverables and outstanding items.
Required profile
- A university degree along with at least 5 years of experience in HR, benefits, pension, or a closely related area.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Working knowledge of Excel and project or HR platforms such as Workday or SuccessFactors.
- Hands-on experience with process improvement and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to manage several priorities at once and organize work effectively.
- Strong analytical thinking and a practical approach to solving problems.
- Careful attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
Preferred background
- Experience in financial services or banking is an advantage.
- Exposure to pension plans or employee benefit programs is helpful.
- Prior work in a client-facing contract role is considered beneficial.
- Background in call center or customer service work is a plus.
- Additional language skills or bilingual capability would be welcomed.
