About Edged
Edged is a rapidly expanding company focused on sustainable data centers and power infrastructure. It develops and runs a worldwide network of highly efficient, AI-ready data centers that use waterless cooling for colocation, hyperscale, and build-to-suit clients. Its platform brings together advanced technology, including renewable microgrids, ultra-clean generators, and waste-to-fuel solutions, and is built for fast rollout across Europe and North America.
The North American business operates as a joint venture between a major private multinational corporation and an Endeavour affiliate. Endeavour supports innovators working on major global challenges in energy, water, and waste, with solutions aimed at both scale and positive impact.
Role Overview
The HR Operations Generalist manages and supports core HR operations for a fast-moving workforce spread across multiple states. The role covers onboarding, employee lifecycle processing, benefits and leave administration, HR recordkeeping, program coordination, and day-to-day guidance for managers and employees. It also involves working within established policies, spotting opportunities to improve processes, and making practical recommendations that strengthen accuracy, consistency, compliance, and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the full onboarding journey for hourly and salaried hires, including paperwork, orientation support, system access setup, required training, I-9 processing, payroll coordination, follow-ups with other teams, and ideas to improve the new-hire experience.
- Manage employee lifecycle updates in the HRIS, such as promotions, transfers, compensation changes, reporting line changes, status changes, and organization structure updates, with accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate offboarding for departing employees, including exit documentation, system changes, compliance checks, and collaboration with HR, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Support workforce changes, contractor-to-employee conversions, and other organizational transitions by coordinating across teams, identifying compliance or process concerns, and suggesting improvements.
- Administer benefits enrollments, edits, terminations, carrier updates, and employee support activities through Dayforce and other vendor systems.
- Apply established rules for leaves of absence, accommodations, and related policies while maintaining documentation, updating systems, coordinating with vendors, following up with employees, and escalating issues when needed.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers on benefits, leave programs, HR processes, and policy interpretation, escalating more complex matters to the right HR partner.
- Reconcile benefits invoices, support vendor issue resolution, and contribute to wellness and employee assistance initiatives.
- Coordinate performance review cycles, employee engagement efforts, recognition programs, HR communications, and other HR initiatives, including planning, tracking, and completion follow-up.
- Track compliance, safety, and role-based training requirements with the training manager, identify missing items, recommend next steps, and help ensure timely completion.
- Support audits and maintain current compliance notices, employee acknowledgments, personnel files, verification records, and other HR documentation.
- Work with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, HRIS, business leaders, and other partners to manage assigned HR operations, maintain data integrity, resolve issues, and improve reporting, compliance, process flow, and workforce transition support.
- Monitor HR inbox messages, HR-related mail, employee questions, and routine follow-up tasks to ensure responses are timely, accurate, and professional.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on onboarding, offboarding, leave, performance cycles, organizational changes, workforce transitions, and standard HR procedures.
- Spot employee relations, performance, leadership, compliance, or policy issues that require deeper review and route them to the appropriate HR partner.
- Maintain and enhance organizational charts, HR resources, templates, process guides, and operational tools to improve consistency, compliance, accuracy, and service delivery.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or HR Operations role with exposure to several HR functions.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms for employee data updates, reporting support, and HR transactions; Dayforce experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of onboarding, benefits, leave administration, employee records, compliance tracking, HR operations, and related policy requirements.
- Ability to understand established HR policies and program rules, use good judgment, and make practical recommendations on process, compliance, and employee lifecycle topics.
- Strong attention to detail, solid organization, and the ability to manage several priorities in a busy environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Preferred experience supporting hourly, distributed, multi-state, or operations-focused workforces.
- Preferred exposure to leave administration, benefits vendor platforms, compliance requirements, employee communications, or HR program rollout.
- Preferred experience with HR process improvement, workforce transition support, or systems-driven HR operations, including issue identification and practical solution design.
Core Competencies
- Sound judgment and practical problem-solving when applying HR practices, procedures, and policy requirements.
- Ability to identify operational gaps and recommend improvements that enhance compliance, efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work in a fast-paced setting.
- Collaborative, service-oriented mindset when working with employees, managers, and internal partners.
