The Role
As a Housing Officer, you will manage a portfolio of housing properties and support tenants throughout their housing experience. This includes handling property allocations, inspections, rent and arrears matters, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring tenancy processes are carried out efficiently, professionally, and in line with requirements.
Key Duties
- Manage a group of housing properties, including allocations, inspections, rent tracking, and arrears follow-up
- Assist tenants at each stage of their housing journey while encouraging independence and wellbeing
- Arrange property maintenance and work with contractors to ensure homes remain safe and usable
- Maintain smooth and compliant tenancy operations and respond to feedback with professionalism and care

About You
You are compassionate, well organised, and able to stay calm under pressure. You enjoy helping people find stable housing while also keeping on top of the practical responsibilities of property and tenancy management. Strong real estate experience is important, along with a genuine desire to support others.
Essential Experience and Requirements
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Bring at least 3 years of experience in tenancy or housing management
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act will be considered an advantage
Checks Needed
- National Police Certificate
- Working with Children Blue Card
