Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a detail-focused hotel administrator to join the team at Seaton House in St Andrews. The property is a Small Luxury Hotel of the World and has recently been recognised as the Best 5 Star hotel in Scotland.
This position supports the hotel leadership team with a wide range of administrative duties to help keep each department running smoothly. The work is varied, and the role will suit someone who enjoys working independently, has a naturally curious mindset, and likes solving problems.
What the role involves
Day to day, you will assist with administrative support across the hotel, including research and light marketing-related tasks. You will also help manage the employee experience by supporting recruitment and onboarding, maintaining colleague records, monitoring training compliance, and contributing to employee engagement activities. In addition, you will be a point of support for team members with questions or concerns.
Compensation and working arrangement
The salary for this role is £30,160 per year, and the working pattern is 40 hours per week. The role is based onsite in St Andrews, Scotland, United Kingdom.
Experience and suitability
Previous experience in an administrative role is required. Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving abilities are important for success in this position. Experience in hospitality is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
Benefits
In addition to competitive pay, the employer offers a range of staff discounts, wellbeing support, and career development opportunities.
Additional benefits
- Discounted staff rates at UK hotels, with rooms starting from £30 for bed and breakfast.
- Reduced rates for friends and family staying at the hotels.
- Half-price dining in restaurants and bars.
- Complimentary meals during duty hours.
- Access to discounts across a variety of retail, leisure, and experience brands.
- Cycle To Work savings of up to 40% on a broad range of bikes.
- Referral bonuses of at least £250 for recommending a new team member.
- Wellbeing activities throughout the year, including healthy lunches, wellbeing walks, payday treats, and the annual #HealthyHabits campaign.
- 24/7 confidential support for you and your family through the Employee Assistance Programme, covering physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
- Healthcare cash plan options starting at £5 per month.
- Fully funded apprenticeship opportunities.
- Internal development programmes to support career growth.
- Monthly and annual service awards to recognise team achievements.
