Job description

Role overview

MMD Services is representing a global hospitality business that operates a broad international portfolio of properties and continues to invest in modern technology for its hotel operations. The team is carrying out a large-scale system upgrade to move its property management system to Opera Cloud, and this role will support that transition across multiple properties.

This position suits a highly self-directed professional who can manage their own workload, keep communication flowing with different stakeholders, and work out solutions independently in a fast-moving remote setup. Success in this role depends on initiative, reliability, and the ability to keep projects moving without constant direction.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the coordination point between hotels, external vendors, and the internal PMS team during the migration project.
  • Assist the senior project manager with everyday execution, including task tracking, follow-up ownership, inbox management, and call handling.
  • Help confirm hotel and vendor readiness for cutover activities, status reviews, issue escalation, and implementation checkpoints.
  • Keep project records current, including documentation, action trackers, meeting summaries, and stakeholder contact lists.
  • Work autonomously when the senior PM is not available and remain a dependable contact for vendors and properties.
  • Use hospitality systems knowledge to understand hotel-side questions and bridge terminology between business users and technical teams.
  • Monitor vendor replies, timelines, and outstanding requirements, and direct questions to the appropriate technical stakeholders.
  • Support change management and the rollout process by maintaining checklists and guiding pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation tasks.

Candidate profile

  • Practical experience working with hospitality systems.
  • Strong project coordination ability, with excellent organization and consistent follow-through.
  • Comfort handling a large volume of phone calls and emails.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude and the ability to operate independently in a remote work environment.
  • Background in hotel-to-vendor coordination or complex PMS migrations across multiple properties is preferred.
  • Exposure to OHIP or Opera Cloud would be an advantage.
  • Experience supporting global hospitality rollout programs is valued.
