Horticulture Labourer

Role Overview

This position is for a horticulture labourer based in Kelowna, British Columbia. The job is performed entirely at the worksite, with no remote-work option.

Language Requirement

English is required for this role.

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

No prior experience is necessary, as training will be provided on the job.

Work Location

This is an on-site role. Work must be completed in person at the physical location.

Job Duties

• Remove debris and clear brush from fields and other working areas.
• Harvest horticultural crops.
• Sort freshly picked produce into saleable and non-saleable lots.
• Apply insecticides and fungicides by spraying or dusting plants.
• Prepare and blend soil mixes.
• Water plants, lawns, and garden areas, and provide general plant care.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Remove weeds, prune plants, and trim trees and shrubs.
• Cut back weeds and unwanted growth.
• Help organize and maintain inventory.

Additional Information

Transportation is required; applicants must have their own means of travel.
