Job description

Role overview

This role gives you the chance to take optical care directly to people in their homes. Working for Specsavers, you will support patients who cannot easily reach a store, helping with eye care and with everyday tasks they may struggle to manage without assistance. The position is designed to bring both clinical support and a positive experience to the local community.

Work location and team

You will be based out of the office in Ballymena and will travel across the region to deliver home-visit eye care services. The team is small, friendly, and made up of committed people who are ready to welcome a new colleague.

Transport and travel support

To help you visit patients in the community, you will either be given access to a pool car or receive a car allowance of £3,000 per year.

Pay, hours, and benefits

The role pays £26,853 per year. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with no weekend shifts or bank holidays. Additional benefits include a £2,000 welcome bonus, an extra paid day off on your birthday, enhanced family leave, company sick pay, access to the Specsavers Perks Scheme, and support for training and development.

Requirements

Applicants should have at least 12 months of optical experience and hold a full, clean driving licence.

Additional information

The welcome bonus is subject to terms and conditions and does not apply to existing SOG employees.
