Role overview
Iceland Foods is looking for a Home Delivery Driver to join the team in Frinton-On-Sea. This is an active, customer-facing position for someone who enjoys working independently, staying busy, and spending time on the road.
The role is paid at £13.71 per hour.
What the role is about
You will deliver groceries to customers and represent Iceland as the direct point of contact at the doorstep. The job calls for reliable service, careful handling of stock, and a strong focus on the customer experience.
Main duties
- Load the van safely, following proper heavy-lifting and manual-handling practices.
- Drive in line with safe and responsible driving standards at all times.
- Carry out vehicle checks before and during use.
- Make sure groceries reach customers in excellent condition.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service on every shift.
- Support store operations when extra help is needed.
- Work well on your own and manage time effectively.
- Be flexible with shift patterns, which may run between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
Candidate profile
To be successful, you should be a positive and approachable driver who takes pride in creating a good customer experience. You should also be punctual, comfortable working to deadlines, and consistently aware of road safety.
Driver requirements
- A full driving licence held for at least 3 years.
- No more than 6 penalty points on the licence.
- Confidence working independently and keeping to time.
- A strong focus on safe driving and careful vehicle use.
