Job description
Role overview
SOS Homecare is seeking caring, reliable and motivated people to join a warm and supportive team as Home Care Assistants. The position is managed from the Crewe office (CW1 2EW), and service delivery is based in one local area, so driving is not required.
The service is focused on helping people remain independent in their own homes. In this role, you will support clients with personal care, meal preparation, medication, and getting involved in community activities. The aim is to make a positive difference by promoting independence, meaningful relationships, improved skills and a better quality of life.
What the role involves
You will provide person-centred care tailored to each client’s needs in their home. The company welcomes applicants with care experience as well as those who are new to the sector but genuinely want to help others.
Training and development
All new team members receive a full induction followed by refresher training. Additional learning opportunities are also available through the in-house training manager. SOS Homecare emphasizes long-term growth and aims to help staff build expertise and progress into more senior roles.
Pay and working arrangements
Pay is offered at up to £13.42 per hour, with a stated pay range of £13.32 to £13.42 per hour. Weekend work attracts an enhancement. Flexible working patterns and contracted hours are available to suit different needs. Mileage is paid in addition to salary, and induction training is paid after you start.
Benefits
Additional benefits include a workplace pension scheme, company events, on-site parking, and a referral bonus of £200 for each successful referral. Support is also provided for achieving NVQ/QCF qualifications.
About the employer
SOS Homecare Ltd has provided care and support services in Trafford since 1994 and is known locally for the quality of its services. The business has been led by Managing Director Richard Jackson since 2001, with a hands-on approach and regular involvement in service visits.
How to apply
If you have a passion for care and want to make a meaningful difference to someone’s life, you are encouraged to apply or call the team on 01744 752110.
