HGV Jet Vac Driver

Role Overview

Walsh Waste & Recycling is hiring an HGV Jet Vac Driver based at Deerpark Industrial Estate in Oranmore, County Galway. The role reports to the Liquid Waste Operations Manager and focuses on safe, professional operation of a Jet Vac Tanker for liquid waste services.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the Jet Vac Tanker and its vacuum and jetting systems safely, efficiently, and in line with company and industry requirements.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and compliance with traffic rules.
• Carry out regular vehicle checks and basic maintenance inspections, and report any faults or defects without delay.
• Keep precise daily records covering mileage, fuel use, and any servicing or maintenance carried out on the vehicle.
• Deal with customers in a courteous and professional way to support a positive service experience.
• Respond appropriately to urgent situations such as spills or blockages, taking steps to reduce risk and protect the environment.
• Work closely with technicians, dispatch, and other colleagues to support smooth and effective service delivery.
